Traditional Southern Chalkstreams

The chalk streams of south west England are considered the universal cradle of brown trout fly fishing and hold an unrivalled place in angling folk-lore.

From the Test, Itchen, Anton and Lambourne in Hampshire to the Kennet in Berkshire and the Avon, Nadder & Wylie in Wiltshire – you can fish wonderful gin clear rivers amongst some of the most scenic and unspoilt water meadows, farmland and countryside in the U.K.

For most of the fishing year dry fly reigns supreme. But at certain periods the nymph takes pride of place - notably at the back end of the season when grayling become the ultimate quarry.  And there’s no better river for grayling in the south west than Frank Sawyer’s beloved Avon.

Our packages are designed to offer a diversity of rivers and to put you on a different stretch each day. Your accommodation is based in the historic, Hampshire town of Stockbridge – fly fishing capitol of the southern streams.
