Jura

Jura lies north of Lyon in the top south eastern corner of France, ascending to a height of 1700 metres at the Franco/Swiss border. Access to Jura is easy - it’s just 3 hours (mainly) motorway drive from Paris, or take a budget flight to Geneva and just hop over the scenic border (70 kms).

Jura offers the fisherman and family diverse leisure activities, beautiful towns and villages in spectacular mountain scenery. You can sail, surf and ski on wonderful lakes. Canoe or horse ride along it's magnificent rivers, or for the more leisurely, beautiful Thermal Spas in which to pass a pampered day.

Fly fishing in Jura

Jura offers 2000 kilometers of premier class trout rivers and streams considered amongst the best in Europe. The region’s star fishing attraction is its famous Zebra Trout. The record broken in 2001 with a mighty 103 cm catch! The wonderful snow melt rivers of the, Bienne, Aine and the Saine are a Fly Fisher’s paradise. This region is also is a training ground for the French national fly fishing team. And it’s not for nothing they are acknowledged as top of the international league.
